Privacy policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect when you use ReplyResearch, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

ReplyResearch runs this website and is responsible for the personal information collected through it. If you have a question about this policy or your information, please contact us.

What we collect

Only what you give us, or what we need to run the site: your name and email address when you create an account, subscribe, request a survey link or send us a message; your answers and any stories you share in our surveys; and technical details such as your IP address when you log in or submit a form, to keep the site secure. If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect how you use the site, such as the pages you visit and your browser and device type. Your password is stored in encrypted form, so we can't see it.

How we use it

To run your account and log you in; to run our surveys and research, and follow up when you ask us to; to send the updates you have subscribed to; to understand and improve how the site is used; and to keep the site secure and free of spam.

Our legal basis

We use your information because you have given your consent (for example, when you subscribe, take part in a survey or accept cookies), because we need it to provide something you have asked for (such as your account), or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting the site. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email subscriptions

You'll only receive our emails if you subscribe. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep you logged in, protect our forms and remember your cookie choices. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, and show videos and posts from YouTube, Vimeo and X, which set their own cookies. Nothing optional is loaded until you agree. Change your cookie settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it: account details until you close your account, subscription details until you unsubscribe, and survey responses for as long as they are needed for our research.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy to take elsewhere. To make a request, please contact us. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, change your cookie settings whenever you like, or contact us to update or delete your account.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we use your information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
